With Red Dwarf blasting back on to our TV screens in just four days' time, the final teaser clip heralding the sci-fi comedy's return has been released by digital channel Dave.

In the clip, Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) discovers that Lister (Craig Charles) has lost Starbug in a card game - but there is an upside to it!

The six-part series - the cult show's tenth - begins on Dave on Thursday 4th October at 9pm with the episode Trojan and ends on Thursday 8th November with The Beginning. Each episode will also be available via catch-up on the Dave website for seven days following its transmission but only to people in the UK.

The latest in a series of teaser clips from the forthcoming tenth series of Red Dwarf has been released by TV channel Dave.

In the excerpt, which can be seen below, Rimmer (Chris Barrie) finds himself afflicted by an auditory problem but gets little sympathy from Lister (Craig Charles).

Next weekend will see the final teaser clip released by Dave before the new, six-part series of the cult sci-fi comedy starts on the digital channel on Thursday 4th October at 9pm.

In addition, as part of the publicity drive, posters - as seen beneath the clip - promoting the return of the show have started appearing on hoardings across the UK.

More promotional pictures for the forthcoming new series of Red Dwarf have been released by the official website as has another teaser clip by TV channel Dave.

The clip, called Going postal, sees Rimmer (Chris Barrie) and Lister (Craig Charles) dealing competitively with a sizeable amount of mail.

Another teaser clip will be released next weekend by Dave. The new series of Red Dwarf, comprising six episodes, begins on the digital channel on Thursday 4th October at 9pm with the episode Trojan, which journalists were given a preview of by UKTV - the network to which Dave belongs - at a programme showcase last Tuesday at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Another teaser clip from the forthcoming new series of Red Dwarf has been released online by digital channel Dave.

The clip, entitled Two Forks, shows Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) revealing to Rimmer (Chris Barrie) the ship's "weapons of mass disappointment" and was released as part of this weekend's countdown celebration of the cult sci-fi comedy to mark the impending start of the tenth series on Thursday 4th October.

The channel has begun repeating Red Dwarf from Series 8 down to Series 1 on Saturdays and Sundays, and another trailer for the tenth series is to be released next weekend.

Digital broadcaster Dave has announced that the new series of Red Dwarf will premiere on the channel on Thursday 4th October at 9pm.

The date was revealed after the channel's #VINDALUNAR Twitter campaign in which readers were invited to retweet their hashtags which in turn would have a helium balloon inflated to reveal the date. Confirmation and a video of the inflation is available from its website.

The series is already listed for pre-order on Amazon (DVD/Blu-ray), and is due to be released on Monday 19th November.

A clip from the forthcoming new series of Red Dwarf has been officially released online.

The 38-second extract shows The Cat (Danny John-Jules) and Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) finding themselves in perfect synchronisation, following tests performed on crystals by the mechanoid.


Last Wednesday, Llewellyn revealed the titles of the six episodes comprising the new series:
  • 1 - Trojan
  • 2 - Fathers and Suns
  • 3 - Lemons
  • 4 - Entangled
  • 5 - Dear Dave
  • 6 - The Beginning
The series, which was recorded at Shepperton Studios last December and January, is due to start on Dave this autumn.
